As a proud American citizen, Carla Spalding epitomizes the essence of what makes this country great! Carla is a woman who wears many hats. She is a Veteran, Registered Nurse, College Professor, and above all, an American who loves this country. Her life experience illustrates her passion to serve others and her desire to better the future of the people around her. Despite differences, experiences, and challenges Carla believes it is our American spirit that allows us to endure any circumstance and prosper. She is known for her commitment to helping others and making a difference in people’s lives. She proudly served in the United States Navy and later earned a Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialty in Education. She is a Mental Health Professor, Pediatric Professor, and a former nurse at the VA Regional Medical Center. Carla is also a published author, a College Advisory Curriculum Board member, a Former Associate Director of Nursing, and a former Council Secretary for the Salvation Army in South Florida. Before leaving the VA Regional Medical Center, Spalding was honored as Nurse of the Year in 2013 in recognition of her hard work and dedication to service to veterans. When I joined the Navy, I learned a great deal about devotion to duty and the importance of defending America and its values. “I love this Country, the great United States of America. We must never forget what freedom stands for!” Carla Spalding ran for Congress with, the intent to help to propose laws that would support our veterans, military, children, better health care, and the elderly. Now it’s time to defend my County, Broward County and to do so, we must unite to end the corruption, mismanagement, and fraud. As a Congresswoman, I promise to defend our Freedom, protect our children from predators, secure the border, and most importantly I WILL DRAIN THAT SWAMP!
