Candidate, U.S. House Georgia District 1
Wade grew up in Macon, Georgia. Wade’s father, previously a captain in the United States Army, was a counselor with Vocational Rehabilitation helping disabled persons secure education, training, and work. Wade’s mother was a high school English teacher in the Bibb County school system.
From his parents, Wade learned that service to others gives meaning to life and that government can do good things for people. Time spent in the choir and youth group at Vineville United Methodist Church and in Troop 19, where Wade became an Eagle Scout, underscored the values of community and service.
