At the end of Thor (2011), Loki (Tom Hiddleston) disappears into a wormhole when Thor (Chris Hemsworth) tries to destroy the rainbow bridge Bifrost in Asgard. Loki then comes to Earth to subjugate it, and his idea is to rule the human race as their king. Loki has a delusional idea that if everyone is busy worshiping him, there will be no wars. So, he will create some kind of world peace by ruling them as tyrants. Loki is also deluded that unlimited power will give him self-respect, but in fact, Loki is still motivated by his jealousy - a kind of spiritual desolation.
In this video, Odin sentences Loki after catching him and bringing him back to Asgard. Odin (Anthony Hopkins) is somehow too harsh on Loki in this scene, but he has a reason for all Loki has done because of delusion and jealousy of Thor. Loki let the frost giants into Asgard, destroyed a small town, attempted to kill his powerless brother, tried to use the Bifrost to destroy Jotunnhiem, then killed hundreds of innocent humans on Earth in Asgard’s name.

So, he feels angry and hurt when Odin threatens not to let him see his mother, Friega, anymore.
