I want to give you an End-of February Video Update .

It's hard to believe that February is coming on, but we have had a wonderful time at Union Rescue Mission. 
I was able to do a little bit of speaking around the country. First of all, at the Orange County Rescue Mission, I was invited to share a devotion, and I shared all the crucial scriptures that dealt with fundraising in the Bible. In short, fundraisers are people who make missions possible, make the spread of the gospel possible, able to change and save lives. We should all be givers because God is the ultimate giver. God sent his Son to die on the cross for us, and he gave us the greatest gift of all time. We should be givers because God is the ultimate giver. It was a great day learning from everybody around the country who's doing this kind of work.

I also had the opportunity to speak to the Chapel on the rooftop. And it's such a good time with our guys. I preached from Revelations 12:11 that we shall overcome by "the blood of the Lamb and the power of their testimony." Hopefully, we will all participate in overcoming through the "blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony"  We had a great time on our rooftop. 

I've also had some great interviews around the country and even internationally over this last month. One of them was the Atlantic popular national magazine. And they've been talking to some of our friends who we all helped launch a "Recovery movement." The "Recovery Movement" responds to the unfortunate "Harm Reduction" movement, which enables people to live in their addiction and die in their addiction. We believe the scripture in Proverbs 24:11 that says we need to intervene when we see "somebody stumbling for death." And if we don't, we have someone above in heaven who knows what's going on and will take a look and judge us and our lives. Why didn't we intervene? Why didn't we care enough to try to step in? The power of Union Rescue Mission comes from the power of Jesus Christ to transform lives. It always has and always will, no matter where the world goes. A world without hope, a world without God, might think it's appropriate to give up and not believe that a person can make a miraculous turnaround or miraculous recovery, but that's not who we are. We believe in miraculous turnarounds because we see it happening here on a daily basis here at Union Rescue Mission. 
I also attended the "Faith & Fundraising Conference"  in Milwaukee, where I shared with people around the country who do similar work at Union Rescue Mission. When I raise funds to help people devastated by homelessness and to turn their lives around and become productive citizens again, I feel like God pours on the blessings. It just comes from him. And by just sharing a story about a changed life, God somehow responds with his faithfulness. It comes from understanding scripture and being authentic and transparent from doing what we say we're going to do. And let me tell you when we don't do and don't live up to what we say we do, there are great moments of grief. But I always decide to shake it off and keep going, right things and continue to be faithful to God and what he's called me to do. That's just a brief synopsis of what I shared in Milwaukee. 

Lastly, I want to give you an announcement. Angeles House will open soon. That's all I can say. It doesn't look like it will be March, but it could be early April. Keep it in your prayers because the sooner we can get the Angeles house open, the sooner we can welcome 86 families struggling with homelessness right now. Keep us in your prayers.
