We must work towards recognising different sized intervals on the piano easily and quickly. They are the spacings and shapes between notes in melodies and patterns or to build chords and scales. They're a fundamental part of out musical vocabulary and getting familiar with their shapes on the keyboard has many benefits for learning piano!
